Dangerous prisoners remain at large

The search continues for two prisoners who escaped from a maximum-security prison in New York over the weekend. NBC's Chris Pollone reports.

(NBC News) A massive manhunt continued Monday, after two convicted killers escaped from a maximum security prison Saturday in Dannemora, New York.

Police are using dogs to search the woods, cemeteries, and schools, also setting up checkpoints throughout the area in an effort to locate the convicts.

It is believed that they used power tools to cut through the walls of their cells, a fact that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says doesn't quite sit right.

"I think they had help. I don't think they could have acquired the equipment they needed to do this without help," said Governor Cuomo.

Police are offering a $100,000 for information leading to the convicts' capture.
