      Teen in surgery after early morning shooting in northwest valley

      LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- An 18-year-old man had surgery Sunday morning after being wounded in a shooting in the northwest part of the valley.

      Metro said the man was shot shortly before 4 a.m. in the 4000 block of Glenfield Circle near West Craig Road and North Tenaya Way.

      Police said surgery was expected to take hours. He was in serious condition at UMC prior to the surgery.

      Metro Lt. John Liberty said no suspects have been arrested and no motive for the shooting has been established.

      The violent crimes unit is investigating.
