Free CERT course to take place in Henderson on February 25 & 26

If an emergency or disaster happens in your neighborhood, are you prepared to help yourself, your family or neighbors? The Southern Nevada Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) can you through free training.

The City of Henderson and Southern Nevada Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) are joining forced to offer a free two-day CERT course in February.

The two-day course will take place Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Henderson Fire Training Center, located at 401 Parkson Road, Henderson, NV 89011.

The CERT course is administered by the City of Las Vegas and teaches students about disaster preparedness, fire suppression, emergency medical response, search and rescue, terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.

The course is free and open to the public.

Each student will receive a backpack full of emergency supplies for participating.
