Subaru recalls 26,000 new Imprezas to fix camera software issue
Subaru of America is recalling nearly 26,000 new cars to fix a problem with the rearview camera display.
The recall involves the 2017 model year Impreza.
The rearview camera display may not work properly due to a software problem.
If it's not working properly, the driver's view of what is behind the car can be reduced.
That can potentially increase the risk of a crash or backing over someone behind the vehicle.
Subaru of America will notify owners of the 2017 Impreza sedan and 5-door, and dealers will update the infotainment software free of charge.
