Bail set at $32,000 for suspect in brawl, shooting outside Las Vegas tavern
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
Bail was set at $32,000 for a man suspected in a beating outside a southwest Las Vegas valley tavern.
David Bandy, 34, is facing charges of attempted murder; battery resulting in substantial bodily harm and discharging a firearm where someone could be endangered.
The incident took place around 4:30 a.m. March 25 in the parking lot of Parkway Tavern, 9820 W. Flamingo Road, near South Grand Canyon Drive.
Defense attorney William B. Terry, who sought his client’s release, said Bandy was the victim of this incident. He said his client was attacked by a group of drunk people who were already fighting when Bandy arrived.
Bandy also turned himself in once he knew he was wanted from media coverage of incident.
Prosecutors asked Judge Nancy C. Oesterle for $150,000 bail, saying Bandy is a violent person who beat an unconscious man after the fights had ended.
Bandy is scheduled to return to court at 9:30 a.m. June 15.
