Woman suspected in shooting death of teen who lost fight at house party indicted
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
A woman suspected in the shooting death of an 18-year-old North Las Vegas teenager who lost a fight at a party was indicted this morning by a Clark County grand jury.
Ericka Winn, 25, faces an open murder charge in the Feb. 16 death of Larenzo Hardison, who died a day after being shot in the head at an apartment complex on the 4000 block of Silver Dollar Avenue, near South Valley View Boulevard and Pennwood Avenue.
According to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrest report, Hardison attempted to hit on a girl at a house party. A fight with the girl’s ex-boyfriend ensued, who witnesses say knocked out Hardison. The two men agreed the argument was over and shook hands.
Hardison then called Winn to come to the location. She arrived with a 9mm handgun in her waistband. The arrest report says Winn was upset Hardison didn't finish the fight. The two got into an argument. Winn told Hardison according to the report "I will kill you."
Winn is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center. She is scheduled to return to court at 8:30 a.m. March 15 at the Regional Justice Center.
