13-year-old injured after being hit by a car near Harmon and Boulder Highway

A 13-year-old has serious head trauma after being hit by a car near Harmon and Boulder. (KSNV file)

Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash in the southeast valley.

The crash was reported around 9:12 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Harmon Avenue and Boulder Highway.

According to Lt. Peter Castaldi with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a 13-year-old was transported to Sunrise Hospital with serious head trauma.

The teen has non-life threatening injuries but will be admitted to the hospital, according to police. The juvenile was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

According to Lt. Castaldi, the driver did remain at the scene and is suspected of drunk driving.
