As work increases, Project Neon will restrict more traffic near downtown

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is doing Project Neon related construction work from Friday through Aug. 28 in downtown Las Vegas. There will be lane and ramp restrictions, as needed.

Most issues for motorists are lane restrictions during night hours, but some work will cause up to a 24-hour closure of intersections, etc.

Friday, Aug. 19 – Thursday, Sept. 15

• The U.S. Highway 95 southbound off-ramp to Rancho Drive will be closed until Sept. 15.

• The right lane of southbound Rancho Drive near the U.S Highway 95 overpass will be intermittently closed until Sept. 15.

• The sidewalk on the west side of Rancho Drive between Mesquite Avenue and Bonanza Road will be closed until Sept. 15.

Friday, Aug. 19 – Sunday, Sept. 18

• The intersection of Wall Street and Western Avenue are moving to a temporary configuration just west of the current intersection resulting in a 24-hour closure through Sunday, Sept. 18

Friday, Aug. 19 – Tuesday, Nov. 15

• There will be lane restrictions along the Interstate 15 northbound off-ramp to Charleston Boulevard westbound nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Nov. 15.

• There will be lane restrictions along eastbound Charleston Boulevard between Interstate 15 and Grand Central Parkway nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Nov. 15.

• There will be lane restrictions along westbound Charleston Boulevard between Grand Central Parkway and Martin Luther King Boulevard nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Nov. 15.

• There will be lane restrictions along south and/or northbound Grand Central Parkway between Las Vegas Premium Outlet Drive and Charleston Boulevard nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Nov. 15.

Friday, Aug. 19 – Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017

• There will be lane restrictions on the northbound Martin Luther King Boulevard off-ramp at Interstate 15 / U.S. Highway 95 nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Jan. 17, 2017.

• There will be lane restrictions on the Martin Luther King Boulevard onramp to U.S. Highway 95 northbound nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Jan. 17, 2017.

• There will be lane restrictions along north and southbound Martin Luther King Boulevard near U.S Highway 95 nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., through Jan. 17, 2017.

Sunday, Aug. 21 – Monday, Aug. 22

• There will be lane restrictions on Desert Lane between Ellis Avenue and Charleston Boulevard from 9 p.m., Aug. 21 until 6 a.m., Aug. 22.

• There will be lane restrictions at the Western Avenue and Wall Street intersection from 9 p.m., Aug. 21 until 6 a.m., Aug. 22.

• There will be lane restrictions along Symphony Park Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Interstate 15 from 9 p.m., Aug. 21 until 6 a.m., Aug. 22.

• There will be lane restrictions along Desert Lane between Charleston Boulevard and Hastings Avenue from 9 p.m., Aug. 21 until 6 a.m., Aug. 22.

Sunday, Aug. 21 – Tuesday, Aug. 23

• There will be lane restrictions on east and westbound Charleston Boulevard between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Shadow Lane nightly from 9 a.m. until 6 a.m., Aug. 21 through Aug. 23

Monday, Aug. 22 – Tuesday, Aug. 23

• The right lane of southbound Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed between Pinto Lane and Hastings Avenue from 9 p.m., Aug. 22 until 6 a.m., Aug. 23.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate routes, if possible.
