Bicyclist struck and killed by tour bus near Charleston and Pavilion Center identified

A bicyclist was struck and killed by a tour bus Tuesday morning in the western Las Vegas valley.
The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 51-year-old Kayvan Khiabani of Las Vegas. His official cause of death was blunt force injuries to the head and chest from being struck by a bus, and the manner was ruled an accident.
The crash occurred just after 10:35 a.m. on West Charleston Boulevard near South Pavilion Center Drive, according to Officer Laura Meltzer of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to UMC Trauma and later pronounced deceased.
Pavilion Center south of Charleston was shut down for several hours for LVMPD's Fatal Detail investigation.
