Officials have found a body matching the clothing description of the 22-year-old man reported missing a week ago.

The body, believed to be that of 22-year-old Wilmer Dante Morales, was located this morning shortly after operations began about 8 a.m. He was reported missing on May 5.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area rangers found the body in 75 feet of water near Lake Mead Marina.

Searchers used a remote-operated underwater vehicle capable of searching in the confines of a marina with forward looking sonar and a closed-feed camera, provided by Earth Resource Group.

Over the past six days, NPS rangers, Nevada Department of Wildlife game wardens, the Las Vegas Metro Search and Rescue Dive Team, and Earth Resource Group have helped with the search efforts.

The cause of this incident is under investigation by Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

The Clark County coroner will confirm the victim's identity and determine cause of death.
