Convicted Las Vegas pimp dies one year into life sentence
LAS VEGAS (KSNV NEWS3LV) —
Robert Sharpe, 31, a convicted Las Vegas pimp serving a life sentence died on Sunday.
Sharpe was originally accused of beating, torturing, and conning a woman into selling her body. Police say, he held her captive for four months in a North Las Vegas home.
On Tuesday morning, the Coroner’s office confirmed that Sharpe died on Sunday.
Sharpe's official cause of death was determined to be pulmonary thromboembolism and deep venous thrombosis and the manner was ruled natural.
Sharpe was sentenced to life in prison on May 17, 2016. He was serving that sentence at the High Desert State prison in Indian Springs.
On Sunday, he was taken to Valley Hospital where he died.
