Convicted Nevada murderer dead at age 71
LAS VEGAS (AP) —
A 71-year-old Nevada inmate who was serving two consecutive life sentences in prison for murder has died.
The Nevada Department of Corrections says Paul D. Fowler died Tuesday at the Centennial Hills Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Fowler had recently been transported there from the High Desert State Prison about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Las Vegas.
He’d been at the prison since 1995 when he was sentenced in Clark County District Court to two life terms for first-degree murder with a use of a deadly weapon enhancement.
Department spokeswoman Brooke Santina says an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause of death.
