Craig Road off-ramp closed on northbound U.S. 95 as police investigate possible suicide
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
The Craig Road off-ramp on northbound U.S. 95 is closed Sunday as police investigate a possible suicide that occurred in a vehicle.
Police were called around 4:45 p.m., according to Lt. Grant Rogers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim and his girlfriend were traveling in a white Chevrolet Tahoe with a 5-year-old and 5-month-old in the back seat. The girlfriend, who was driving, said she wanted to leave him. The victim said he was going to shoot himself. When he followed through, the girlfriend pulled off the 95.
The handgun was still in the victim’s hand when police arrived.
It is not known when the ramp will reopen to traffic.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the identity of the victim and manner of death.
