Memorial held for teen killed
Friends and family are gathering to remember the local high school student who lost his life in a car accident.
It's been one month since 16-year-old Jaelan Fajardo was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver while driving to school.
Many remember the teen as a funny and kind classmate.
Those closest to Fajardo say they still can't believe he is gone.
Police say an impaired driver rear-ended Fajardo at a high rate of speed near Durango and El Capitan.
Law enforcement sources say right before the crash that took the life of Fajardo, 47-year-old David Fensch was drinking at Bally's casino.
Fensch admitted to police he drank four glasses of rum and also was on Xanax, a drug used to treat anxiety.
Court records show Fensch was also charged two times with DUI in Michigan and two times here in Clark County.
