Former CCSD teacher's assistant accused of felony child abuse
LAS VEGAS (KSNV NEWS3LV) —
A former Clark County School teacher's assistant has been arrested for allegedly battering two students.
Theodore Levrich, 61, was taken into custody at 10 a.m. at his residence earlier today.
Levrich was employed from January until April at Doris French Elementary School in the southeast valley.
On April 24, CCSD was notified that Levrich allegedly battered 2 students, a 6-year-old girl , and an 8-year-old boy.
Police say it was witnessed by a staff member in the library. The witness says Levrich aggressively grabbed and dragged the students across the floor.
No injuries were reported.
Levrich was sent home immediately and the investigation began.
He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of felony child abuse.
