Gaming fans line up around the valley for release of Nintendo Super NES Classic
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
People lined up across the country on Friday morning for the release of the Nintendo Super NES Classic.
The lines were also long in the Las Vegas Valley. Stores across the city sold out of the system before the afternoon.
“I gotta have it,” said Blake Allen.
Allen says the new take on the old model Nintendo takes him back to his childhood.
“It's just like a good childhood momentum. All the old consoles were a lot more fun to play and I didn’t have to deal with Facebook and everything," said Allen.
The Nintendo first originated around 26 years ago.
The SNES system features a collection of built-in classic games like Super Mario World, Street Fighter II, and 19 others.
It also comes with two controllers for the games that require two players.
Best Buy locations throughout the valley say they had hundreds of people lining up at their doors Friday morning.
People say it was well worth the wait.
The classic game system sold for about $79.
