Nearly 2,900 undergraduate, graduate and professional students are eligible to participate in this spring’s commencement. Graduates range in age from 19 to 85, and hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia, and 50 foreign countries. Approximately 84 percent of graduates are Nevada residents.

Since 1964, UNLV has awarded nearly 126,000 degrees.

It's happening on May 13 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV.

UNLV President Len Jessup will honor a few select graduating students during the ceremony for their outstanding academic and community achievements.

During the afternoon ceremony, Jessup will also present Ted Lee, a longtime university supporter and namesake of the Lee Business School, with an honorary doctorate.
