A Las Vegas Fire and Rescue captain was arrested on charges of lewdness with a child under 14 years of age, statutory sex seduction, and engaging in child prostitution, according to jail records.

Richard O. Loughry, 46, was arrested Monday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. He remains in custody without bail.

City officials confirm Loughry has been employed with the fire department since May 5, 1997.

Director of Communications for the City of Las Vegas David Riggleman could not say whether Loughry has been placed on unpaid leave; however, he said that is typically the practice during these types of investigations.

Loughry worked predominantly at Station 47 near Far Hills Avenue and 215.

According to Transparent Nevada, Loughry made $226,342.48 in total pay and benefits in 2016.
