Suspect in custody after failing to stop motorcycle for LVMPD marked patrol unit

A suspect is in custody in connection with a robbery with a deadly weapon event from earlier in the week.

An air unit with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department began monitoring the suspect after HE failed to stop HIS motorcycle for a marked patrol unit this morning.

The refusal to stop was reported around 10:48 a.m. Friday in the area of East Charleston Boulevard and Spencer Street.

According to police, it is believed that the driver may be responsible for a crime that was reported on May 17.

No ground units WERE in pursuit of the suspect while the air unit monitoring was conducted.

The suspect was taken into custody in the area of South Rainbow Boulevard and West Sunset Road.
