Man killed in car after apparent robbery near Gowan and Tenaya
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide near Gowan and Tenaya on Thursday.
The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 25-year-old Dareon Laquan Deas. His official cause of death was a gunshot wound of the chest and the manner was ruled a homicide.
Police say the man was shot after two unidentified suspects entered his car through the rear doors, armed with handguns. It appears the man was shot and killed by the suspects during the course of an apparent robbery.
The suspects, described by police only as two black males, fled the area on foot.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a deceased man in a vehicle.
This investigation remains ongoing and detectives are seeking to identify and locate the suspects involved.
