Mandalay Bay will re-number floors 31 through 34 after mass shooting
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
The floor from which a gunman opened fire on festival-goers on 1 October will no longer go by its original number, come mid-February.
Mandalay Bay's 32nd floor along with floors 31, 33 and 34 will be renumbered, according to Brian Ahern, the Media Relations Manager for MGM Resorts International.
The floors will be changed to floors 56, 57, 58 and 59. Ahern said that this change will be made to "better align with the already numbered floors 60, 61, and 62."
Floors 35 to 39, which belong to the Four Seasons Hotel, will not be changed.
Ahern did not say whether the decision to make the change had anything to do with the 1 October shooting.
