Motor Speedway plans expansion
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
The sports world is on a collision course with Las Vegas. Just look around the valley and you'll see signs of progress and of promise.
The Raiders’ have broken ground, plans are finalized for a ballpark in Summerlin, the WNBA is set to tip-off, The Las Vegas Lights have a new Manager, and the Golden Knights are in the start of a historic first season.
Not to be outdone Las Vegas Motor Speedway is announcing changes to.
“People want to use the term keeping up with the Joneses and that’s across the country," Jeff Motley told us. “You go to one event you want to make sure you get the same experience.”
The expansion will include Loge seating for VIPs, a new sports bar will debut a different experience for any fan with a weekend pass, and if anyone wants to leave their seats for a more relaxed environment the speedway is building the Turn One Social Pavilion.
Motley tells us it will all enhance the experience. “We've seen Tmobile go up. We’ve seen shovels in the ground at the Raiders. I think it’s important that our facility stays on par or exceeds those facilities.”
The renovations are expected to be finished by March.
