Motorcyclist killed in crash with van in Kingman
KINGMAN, Ariz. (KSNV News3LV) —
A 22-year-old man was killed in a crash Monday afternoon in Kingman, Ariz.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Northern Avenue and N. Van Nuys Road on Monday. The crash involved a white Chevy van and a Honda motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. MCSO has identified the victim as 22-year-old Paul Burgess of Kingman. Investigators say Burgess was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
According to police, an investigation determined the Chevy was traveling north on Van Nuys Road and ran a stop sign. The motorcycle was traveling east on Northern Avenue when both vehicles collided at the intersection.
The motorcycle hit the driver side of the van, but no occupants in the van were injured.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors. The crash is still under investigation.
