New Nevada Supreme Court building opens today

The new state Supreme Court building officially opens this afternoon. The building was constructed from 125 tons of sourced marble stone in just 14 months.

Starting next week, the new building on 4th and Clark will hear some of the most important criminal and civil cases in Nevada. Until now, the state Supreme Court was renting the 17th floor of the Regional Justice Center.

The new lease is supposed to save the court a half million dollars in rent.
