Pedestrian, 40, suffers life-threatening injuries in northeast valley
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Friday night when she was hit while crossing a street outside a crosswalk in the northeast valley.
The collision between the woman and a 2008 Mitsubishi Galant occurred about 10:05 p.m. at North Nellis Boulevard and East Stewart Avenue.
The woman was crossing Stewart more than 500 feet from a marked crosswalk when she was struck by the Galant being driver by a 22-year-old man. Neither he nor his 20-year-old woman passenger were injured.
The driver immediately stopped and remained on the scene to cooperate fully with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigation.
The pedestrian was transported to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries. The Clark County coroner did not have a report on the woman Saturday, meaning she had not died.
