Two suspects arrested after hours-long standoff in Desert Shores

Police have arrested two suspects who they say robbed two victims who were sitting on a park bench near Cimarron Road and Soaring Gulls Road.

The robbery took place at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to police, the victims chased after the suspects in their car. The suspects shot at the victims from inside their own car during the pursuit.

The victims provided a description of the suspects' car, which police found at a home near Rampart Boulevard and Lake Mead Boulevard.

The suspects initially did not leave their home when police arrived, and police had to call SWAT to help handle the situation.

Officers had to cut open the garage door during the barricade.

The standoff lasted until 4:00 a.m. when police took both suspects into custody. A seven-month-old child also reportedly had to be removed from the scene.

Police have not released any information about the identity of the suspects.
