Police called to domestic violence situation near Vegas and Buffalo for 3rd time

UPDATE: Neighbors in a northwest Las Vegas valley apartment complex are being asked to evacuate as police have been called to a domestic situation for the third time in 24 hours.

A woman was cut by broken glass and the suspect waved a gun at her at the home on the 7900 block of Decker Canyon Drive, near Vegas and North Buffalo drives, according to Lt. Grant Rogers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Police are talking to the suspect using bullhorns to alleviate the situation. SWAT as of 6:10 p.m. had not been requested.

Police are dealing with a man who has been barricaded in a home for several hours in the northwest Las Vegas valley.

Officers were sent to the home just before 7:30 a.m. on the 7900 block of Decker Canyon Drive, near Vegas and North Buffalo drives, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

A woman called police and whispered that she was being kept hostage.

The woman has since left the building, and police are dealing with the suspect as if he had a weapon.
