Police seek female suspect in downtown stabbing

Police need your help finding a woman accused of stabbing a man a few weeks ago.

On April 25, around 5:10 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Fremont Street to investigate a report of a stabbing.

Arriving officers located an elderly male in a valet area of a hotel suffering from puncture wounds to the back of the neck. The man was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the victim had been sitting on a bench near the valet area when a black female adult that he did not know, approached him on foot. The female suspect indicated she had been watching him, bent over to give him a hug, and during the hug, stabbed the victim twice in the back of the neck with an unknown object.

The suspect then fled the area before officers’ arrival.

The suspect was described as a black female in her 30’s who stood approximately 5’8” tall and weighed about 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt and green pants.

Anyone with any information on this is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
