Police video shows humanity emerge from Las Vegas mass shooting aftermath

Newly released video from police body worn cameras shows the power of human kindness and compassion emerge from the aftermath of the October mass shooting that killed 58 people and left hundreds injured.

Before the gunfire even stopped, humanity took over.

When the gunman opened fire on a crowd of thousands on the Las Vegas Strip, police officers turned into medics. One video shows officers pushing victims to safety in wheelbarrows.

The video released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department shows the actions of everyday people – stranger helping strangers with no hesitation.

Civilians can be seen loading victims in trucks to take to the hospital and others tended to the wounded.

In one video, a woman can be heard calling her father while seeking shelter from the gunfire.

“I love you,” said the woman. “There are gunshots everywhere, I love you.”
