Shot fired on Las Vegas Strip (Faith Jessie | KSNV)

Police report that shots were fired on the Las Vegas Strip, on Las Vegas Boulevard between Harmon and Flamingo.

Just before 4:30 a.m. Monday, police say an argument broke out among a group of men at the base of the escalators leading up to Planet Hollywood. The group walked across the street towards Bellagio, when a male suspect approached from behind and fired one shot.

Nobody was injured by the gunshot.

The suspect fled and was taken into custody in front of the Bellagio Fountains.

Southbound Las Vegas Blvd. was shut down between the Bellagio fountains and Harmon.

The Strip has since been re-opened in both directions, but the sidewalk in front of the fountains has been closed down as officers try to piece together what caused the shooting.

No information about the identity of the suspect has been released.
