Suspect arrested in April 2016 shooting death of North Las Vegas man
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KSNV News3LV) —
A suspect has been arrested in the April 2016 shooting death of a man in a North Las Vegas neighborhood.
Raul Lara, 35, has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and one count of prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
A 34-year-old North Las Vegas man was found by police with a gunshot wound outside a building on the 2100 block of Carroll Street, near Civic Center Drive and East Lake Mead Boulevard, according to a North Las Vegas Police Department news release. The victim was taken to UMC Trauma, where he died.
Lara was detained Sept. 30 at a residence on the 1800 block of Loida Court, near Clayton Street and West Washburn Road. Detectives with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department assisted NLV police with the arrest.
