Suspects arrested in execution-style murder of 65-year-old man
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
Officers have arrested two suspects in an execution-style murder of a man that occurred last week in the north-central valley.
On June 14, detectives with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested 53-year-old Blane Ward and 51-year-old Charlene King during a traffic stop in the 5700 block of West Gowan Road near Rancho Drive.
King and Ward were identified as suspects in the execution-style homicide of 65-year-old Jerry Moore.
Moore's murder was originally reported on June 5 around 11:32 p.m. at the intersection of Cypress Trail and Coran Lane near Rancho Drive and West Lake Mead Boulevard.
Arriving officers found an unresponsive man handcuffed and lying in the street. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
It also appeared that the victim had suffered a possible gunshot wound to the head, which the Clark County Coroner later confirmed.
Blane and King are currently in the Clark County Detention Center, each facing one count of Open Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Robbery with use of a Deadly Weapon.
