Two Northern Nevada inmates died over the past week


Two Nevada inmates have died, reports the Nevada Department of Corrections.

On Wednesday, March 15, around 5:05 p.m., Inmate Reynoldo Duquesne, #1013792, died at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in the Regional Medical Facility in Carson City, Nevada. Duquesne, a 67-year-old male, was committed from Clark County on January 18, 2008, and was serving 96 to 240 months for Attempted Murder.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office coroner responded and an autopsy is being scheduled. After an exhaustive search, they were unable to the contact or notify next of kin and are asking the public for assistance. Anyone who knows a member of this inmate’s family, please contact the NDOC at 775-887-3309.

On Sunday, March 19, 2017 around 7:59 a.m., Inmate Robert Gonzales, #22094, died at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City, Nevada. Prior to his admission to the hospital, Gonzales was housed in the Regional Medical Facility at Northern Nevada Correctional Center.

Gonzales, a 78-year-old male, was committed from Carson City on February 10, 1986 and was serving 240 months to Life for First Degree Murder. Next of kin have been notified.
