LAS VEGAS (KSNV) - The suspect involved in shooting two people at McCarran International Airport was arrested late Monday night.
Metro police Lt. Gordon tells us, the suspect was taken into custody without incident at the VA Medical Center, located at 6900 North Pecos.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police tell News 3 the shooting took place at 5:56 p.m. on the sixth floor of the parking structure for Terminal 1.
Police say the shooting is domestic related. The victims include one man and one woman.
In a media briefing held by LVMPD, officers say the female victim had a former relationship with the shooter.
According to Metro, the two victims were returning home from a flight and were in the parking lot to get their car when they were met by the person who the female victim had a previous relationship with.
There was no significant threat to the airport with the incident. It is unknown how many shots were fired or if the victims are Las Vegas natives.
Per the Clark County Fire Department, the two people were transported to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and are currently in stable condition. The department says that both people were conscious when they were transported.
Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation at McCarran International Airport, thanked the Metro officers for their swift response in taking action.
