WATCH: Surveillance video released of robbery at Costco in Summerlin. 8/03/17 (KSNV)

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for information regarding a robbery in Summerlin.

The robbery took at 8:22 p.m. on August 2 at a Costco's Wholesale located in the 800 block of Pavilion Center Drive.

Surveillance video shows what looks like a sprint to the finish line but for those four robbers it was a brazen smash and grab.

Local shoppers say they are surprised because of the busy location.

"I wouldn't expect somebody to come in and rob's always too packed," said Norma Castellanos.

In the video, four suspects are seen rushing through the front door, heading straight for a glass case. When they get there, you see one robber smash through the glass with a hammer, the others jump in and start grabbing the goods.

The suspects also reportedly used pepper spray on an employee.

"They are kind of toward the front. They are not in the middle and they are not in the back, so I guess it would be easy for them to run in there," said Norma.

All four suspects take off running. At one point you see one robber point an object toward a customer -- something shoppers rarely see in a neighborhood like Summerlin.

The officers who responded were unable to locate the suspects who reportedly fled in a small silver sedan.
