Senior Raiders fans excited about big move to Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (KSNV NEWS3LV) —
There is growing excitement in the valley with the Raiders making a move to Las Vegas, and today some of the team's older fans are getting in on the action.
Dressed in silver and black, some even with face paint, members of the seniors-only fitness center Nifty After Fifty gathered for a pep rally celebrating the Raiders.
Employees at the gym say since the team's move was announced members have not only been pumping iron, but have been pumped up and talking football.
The senior Raiders fans got their workouts in as they chanted and cheered, reminding the team that when it comes to their older fans, no one compares in loyalty.
"If we're 50 and up, nifty after 50, that means we've been fans a long time! And we will continue to be fans. And now that the Raiders are here? Oh wee! Even better for us,” said Nifty After Fifty member, Patt Burton.
Gym organizers say they plan to hold more events here for the Raiders in the future.
