Wellness Festival returning to Downtown Summerlin this weekend

The Wellness Festival returns to Downtown Summerlin on Saturday, April 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The hugely successful Tour de Summerlin and Summerlin Half Marathon both kicking off the day-long event that also includes Downtown Summerlin’s popular Farmers Market.

Wellness Festival incorporates a speaker series, children’s activities and entertainment while highlighting hallmarks of living in Summerlin that foster an active, outdoor lifestyle.

The day-long event takes place on the Lawn at Downtown Summerlin.

Summerlin Wellness Festival Details: @ 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Free public event sponsored by Summerlin Hospital Medical Center.
  • Includes health screenings and medical information.
  • Children’s activities including a climbing wall presented by ABC Action Adventure ($6 per climb)
  • Entertainment by Off-Axis Acrobatics, as seen at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, with four shows throughout the day starting at 10:00 a.m.
  • Other Wellness participants include Comprehensive Cancer Centers and fitness classes throughout the day directed by Fit4Mom, Dance Dynamics, TruFusion, Pre Barre, lululemon and more!
  • Downtown Summerlin Farmers Market

17th Annual Tour de Summerlin: @ 7 a.m.

  • Non-competitive cycling event runs through Summerlin, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
  • 20-mile course starts at 9 a.m.; 40-mile course starts at 8 a.m.; 80-mile course starts at 7 a.m.
  • $85 registration fee; register at Summerlin.com
  • Benefits Breakaway Cycling, a nonprofit to promote cycling and bike safety to children throughout Southern Nevada.
  • Sponsors include The Howard Hughes Corporation®, Element Hotel, McGhie’s Ski Bike & Board, Team AMC, Road ID, Krayvings and Leadership Excursion Co.

9th Annual Summerlin Half Marathon: @ 7:15 a.m.

  • 13.1 mile course that begins and ends at Downtown Summerlin, includes scenic tour of several Summerlin villages and parks on the community’s nationally recognized trail system
  • Chip-timed run/walk
  • Top female and male finishers recognized; all participants receive medals and shirts
  • $90 registration fee; register at Summerlin.com
  • Benefits the College of Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences
  • Sponsors include The Howard Hughes Corporation, American Media Corporation, Fabulous Freddy’s and Max Muscle.
