Las Vegas Lowdown: Lee Canyon, museum fun and more
LAS VEGAS (CW) —
In this week’s Las Vegas Lowdown we’re talking events both indoors and outdoors.
If you’re headed out, you just might need a beanie and gloves.
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Lee Canyon is finally seeing some snow! The ski and snowboard resort will be packed this weekend so make sure you head out there early and have the proper snow equipment.
Also this Saturday, Lee Canyon is hosting its annual Ruby Cup to benefit the Nevada Donor Network. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels can register at the resort on the day of the event until 2 p.m. with a chance to win some great prizes.
There will also be live music, a vendor fair, giveaways and a lot of other fun things going on. This kicks off at 11 a.m.
How about some mimosas and music? Red Rock casino is hosting its "Brunch to Broadway" event on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.
It features two Tony nominees, has a full brunch buffet and benefits the Positively Arts Foundation. Tickets start at $20 and the show will be filled with the Broadway classics backed by a live band. It’s open to all ages.
You know that saying, "Work hard, play hard?" The Discovery Children’s Museum is hosting its adults-only night at the museum this Saturday and giving an opportunity for adults to let loose and let their inner child come out.
In partnership with the Junior League of Nevada, this 21 and older event starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be bars, mini hot dogs and grilled cheese, dancing, karaoke and more.
