Life is Beautiful Festival reveals 2017 mural and installation artists

For the fifth year, Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival will transform Downtown Las Vegas into an unrivaled gallery of globally-inspired art installations, street murals and immersive exhibits, Sept. 22-24.

Curated by Life is Beautiful and global art organization JUSTKIDS, a combination of more than 20 murals and installations will color the festival’s footprint, celebrating creative expression and providing attendees an unforgettable experience.

The full 2017 mural artist lineup includes:

Bicicleta Sem Freio, Broken Fingaz, Fafi, Faile, Felipe Pantone, Kevin Lyons, Mau Lencinas, Okuda San Miguel, thisismybworld and Zest.

Christopher Schardt, Justin Favela, Kevin Lyons, Laura Kimpton, Luzinterruptus, Meow Wolf Powered by Zappos, Morag Myerscough, Okuda San Miguel, tyler fuQua creations and Yok & Sheryo.

Life is Beautiful will also welcome Santa Fe art collective Meow Wolf to create the next evolution of the popular Art Motel. Returning in 2017, the interactive art experience will reimagine 23 rooms of a former Downtown motel into an artistic playground. Festivalgoers will also be able to view and purchase original artwork and rare prints by local, national and international artists at the popular “Crime on Canvas” art exhibit. The gallery will display work by Matt Skiba, Mark Ryden, Shag, Tara McPherson, Shepard Fairey, Brandon Boyd and many more.

Since its inception in 2013, Life is Beautiful has commissioned more than 30 outdoor murals by internationally known artists, making Downtown Las Vegas one of the largest, free public art galleries in the world.
