Giordano's is holding a grand opening event on Wednesday to celebrate its second location in the Las Vegas Valley, just in time for Pi Day.

A spokesperson announced in a press release that a ribbon cutting for Giordano's Boca Park is set for Wednesday, March 14, at 11 a.m. for the new location on 8730 W. Charleston Blvd.

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman will join Giordano's CEO Yorgo Koutsogiorgas for the event. Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a "cheese pull competition," in which competitors will try to lift a slice of pizza as high as possible.

A private grand-opening tasting event is scheduled to follow the ribbon cutting.

Based in Chicago, Giordano's is known for its stuffed deep-dish pizza. The first Las Vegas-area location is inside the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally's on the Las Vegas Strip.
