The Ice Rink returns to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for the winter season

Grab your skates and get ready to hit the ice!

For the sixth consecutive year, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is welcoming the return of The Ice Rink, transforming the Boulevard Pool into a winter wonderland, high above the Las Vegas Strip.

Visitors will enjoy roof-top skating on more than 4,200-square feet of real ice, s'mores by the fire, snow showers, and more.

For the first time, The Cosmopolitan is also going to feature a Christmas tree, with the first-ever tree lighting ceremony hosted by Olympian figure skater Kristin Yamaguchi.

The holiday culinary menu will include crafted cocktails like Egg Noggy Nog, Scrooged, Rebel Without a Clause, Campfire Delight, and The Griswold, as well as winter childhood favorite foods like grilled cheese and tomato soup, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, s'mores, cinnamon churros, and more.

The Ice Rink will be open from Nov. 20 through Jan. 10, operating Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. until midnight and Saturday through Sunday from noon until midnight.

Special holiday hours of noon until midnight will be in effect from Dec. 22 through Jan. 10. A light snowfall will occur every 30 minutes between 7 p.m. and midnight every Tuesday through Sunday.

All-day skating access is $20 and on Tuesdays through Thursdays, all-day skating access for Nevada residents and hotel guests is $10.

Guests aged two and up are welcomed at The Ice Rink, however, minors must have a liability waiver signed and be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

The following events will be held throughout the winter season at The Ice Rink:

INAUGURAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

  • Monday, Dec. 4
  • The inaugural tree-lighting ceremony will be hosted by Olympic figure-skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi
  • Lighting of the 36-foot-tall Christmas tree will take place at 7 p.m.

A NIGHT WITH THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS

  • Wednesday, Dec. 6
  • Locals and tourists are encouraged to revel in the holiday spirit with a special meet and greet with a few of their favorite NHL players, the Golden Knights mascot, and the Knights Crew.
  • The event will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m., players and times subject to change.

VICE ON ICE, FEATURING TAO GROUP CARES HOLIDAY DRIVE

  • Friday, Dec. 15
  • Vice on Ice will take over the rink with a high-energy club set from DJ Vice from 7-10 p.m.
  • Attendees will have the opportunity to give back through the TAO Group Cares' 'Holiday Drive' which will benefit the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.
  • Guests will enjoy complimentary skating with a donation from NPHY's Holiday Wish List
  • One lucky social media contest winner will be given complimentary skating for six people, plus a premium fire pit package
  • Guests who donate will also get complimentary entry to Marquee Nightclub later that evening for the Vice on Ice after party.

  • Monday, Nov. 20 - Monday, Jan. 1
  • A fan favorite during the holidays, Date Skate Mondays welcomes lovebirds to a movie date night on ice, with films shown on the resort's 65-foot digital marquee at 6 and 9 p.m.
  • Nov. 20: 6 p.m. - Almost Christmas, 9 p.m. - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
  • Nov. 27: 6 p.m. - Home Alone, 9 p.m. - Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
  • Dec. 4: 6 p.m. - Four Christmases, 9 pm. - A Christmas Story
  • Dec. 11: 6 p.m. - The Muppet Christmas Carol, 9 p.m. - Elf
