The Mob Museum to host LVMPD officer-recruitment event this Sunday
LAS VEGAS (KSNV NEWS3LV) —
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, will host a special edition of its monthly Community Safety Forum on Sunday, March 5: a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) “Protect Our City” Recruitment Event.
It's happening from noon until 4 p.m.
Each month, the Museum hosts a Community Safety Forum event in partnership with LVMPD, with free Museum admission for all attendees sponsored by NV Energy. Community Safety Forums represent the Museum’s ongoing commitment to present timely and useful public safety information for the benefit of the community.
LVMPD officials have set a goal of graduating 600 new police officers in the next 18 months. The “Protect Our City” officer recruitment event and informational opportunity will allow the public to learn more about the workings of the LVMPD and how to pursue a law enforcement career.
Officers will conduct K9 demonstrations, body-cam demonstrations, crime scene memory tests and an agility course. Members of the public are invited to test their own skills in these hands-on activities.
Attendees of the event will receive FREE admission to the Museum that day, courtesy of NV Energy.
