Dine poolside for a great cause with the M.E.N.U.S. event at the Hard Rock
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
You can dine poolside at the Hard Rock with incredible restaurants and culinary experts ... all while benefiting a great cause!
The upcoming M.E.N.U.S. event will benefit the Epicurean Charitable Foundation.
Joining us this afternoon is Executive Director Melissa Area, along with Chef Andrew Hilyer of Hugo's Cellar.
The organization provides scholarships and mentorship opportunities to gifted, but financially underprivileged college students who are interested in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry.
Scholarship recipients receive up to $48,000 toward tuition, books, and other fees.
Each scholarship recipient benefits from participating in the Future Leaders of Hospitality Program. During the program, each student is paired with a board member who serves as a mentor and provides real-life guidance, support, and assistance with job and internship placement after graduation.
M.E.N.U.S. stands for Mentoring and Educating Nevada's Upcoming Students.
The M.E.N.U.S. event will be held on Friday, Oct. 13 from 8-11 p.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Paradise Pool.
Tickets are $500 to attend and can be purchased online.
