NF Hope Concert held to raise money for to fight Neurofibromatosis
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
At just 9 months old, Emma Leibow was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis. But instead of letting the fear of what it can be run their lives, her family, including her dad Jeff Leibow who joins us today, decided they were going to fight this.
Now, they host the annual NF Hope Concert, which is coming up at the end of the month.
Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder of the nervous system characterized by tumors that can grow on any nerve in the body without warning. Most people are unaware that one in 2,500 people are born with NF, making it more common that cystic fibrosis, hereditary muscular dystrophy, Huntington’s disease, and Tay Sachs, combined. Proceeds from the concert will go to Neurofibromatosis Network and the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation to support NF families in Southern Nevada.
The event will be held at the Palazzo Theatre on Oct. 22 and tickets start at $45. Performers include Clint Homes and wife Kelly Clinton, Finding Faith featuring Andrew Tierney of Human Nature, comedy-magician Murray Sawchuck, and many more.
Tickets can be purchased at any box office at The Venetian or The Palazzo, online at palazzo.com, or by calling either 702-414-9000 or 866-641-7469.
