The one and only Sonny Turner joins us this afternoon!

He's bringing his iconic hits to the Suncoast Showroom this weekend.

Turner rose to fame in 1959 after he was chosen to replace The Platters' original lead singer, Tony Williams.

In 1970, Turner left The Platters to begin his solo career, with vocals featured on the soundtracks of movies "The Nutty Professor II", "Hearts in Atlantis", and "Prince of the City".

Turner was also inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the Beach Hall of Fame, for his musical contributions to The Platters.

You can catch Turner at the Suncoast Showroom at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets start at $15, plus taxes and fees.

For more information, visit the Suncoast Hotel and Casino website.
