Full Sportscast: Nevada boxing Hall of Fame announces Class of 2017
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
The Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2017 inductees at Las Vegas gym Real Boxing Wednesday.
Among the nine boxer inductees are former world champion Thomas Hearns and local resident, former heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, Leon Spinks.
One of the non-boxer inductees is cutman and Las Vegas resident Rafael Garcia.
The 87-year-old said he's worked with 50 or so world champions, one of them: Floyd Mayweather Jr. for 18 years.
Garcia gave his thoughts on Mayweather possibly coming out of retirement to fight UFC star Conor McGregor.
