Kelly was born in the Chicago area, on Groundhog Day of all days, and grew up just outside of Detroit. She graduated from Central Michigan University in 2005 with a major in Meteorology and minors in Math and Geography.
After college, Kelly started her career in Erie, Pennsylvania as a weekend meteorologist and reporter. Not only did she forecast the local weather, she produced weather broadcasts for the entire Caribbean and Southern California. Kelly has covered blizzards, hurricanes and Santa Ana Winds and sometimes all on the same day!
Kelly also worked as a meteorologist and reporter in Madison, Wisconsin and Springfield, Illinois before moving to Nevada.
She currently resides in beautiful Boulder City with her dog, Raina, and cat, Lexi. Her passions include hiking and horseback riding. Kelly is looking forward to the challenge of forecasting the complex weather of the desert and mountains of Southern Nevada.
