Fit Friday: Garage Kru modifies its workouts to fit individual needs

It's a Fit Friday! And today we are talking about a new training facility that is set to open next week! Joining us this morning is Jonathan Kruper and Tamra O'halloran of Garage Kru Fitness.

Garage Kru focuses on how to modify workouts to fit individual needs instead of having everyone in class do the same exercises.

The fitness club started out in the garage of Kruper's house.

Kruper knew the facility could offer something that others couldn’t, so they decided to build a better beast, decided to re-imagine the idea of being in shape, and sought to navigate the fads and trends of fitness and health to help people choose to change their lives.

Recently, the facility decided to add more muscle to their tribe.

While CrossFit challenges the world’s fittest, the program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience.

Garage Kru scales load and intensity; they don’t change the program. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind.

The grand opening will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 7 at their location at 6360 South Pecos Road, Suite 10, and is free to attend.
