Various valley organizations are getting together to provide the community with free vaccinations for their four-legged family members.
The free dog vaccination event will be held on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at the Paradise Recreation Center, located at 4775 McLeod Drive, just north of Tropicana Ave.
Those looking to take advantage of the offer can register, which is mandatory for all attending, to have their dog receive both a DAPPV and rabies vaccination, and one free bag of dog food, while supplies last.
The vaccinations are made possible through Petco Love's new national vaccination initiative, which is providing one million free pet vaccines to existing animal welfare partners, including The Animal Foundation, for family pets in need.

The event is also presented by Commissioner Jim Gibson, The Animal Foundation, Heaven Can Wait, and Clark County Parks and Recreation.
“Inflation is hitting everyone in our community, and as the prices of groceries, gas, and rent all start to skyrocket, families are forced to decide to cut back. Providing basic pet care to our four-legged family members is often the first expense to be cut," said Commissioner Gibson.
“I am pleased to partner with the Animal Foundation, Heaven Can Wait, and Petco Love to offer FREE pet vaccinations and dog food to our community’s pets.”
Dog owners must pre-register for a 40 to 60-minute appointment, which includes a health exam and behavior evaluation.
