The release of a new Britney Spears album has reportedly been delayed, joining her on-hold Las Vegas residency.

Variety reports the release of Spears' album for RCA Records has been placed on hold while the singer spends time with her father, Jamie, who suffered a ruptured colon.

Manager Larry Rudolph told Variety that Spears will resume working on the album once Jamie Spears' health improves.

Spears announced last week she had to put her new Las Vegas show, "Britney: Domination," on indefinite hiatus because of her father's health issues.

"Domination" was scheduled to begin in February at Park MGM. It would have been Spears' second show in Las Vegas after her residency at Planet Hollywood concluded in 2017.
